  1. NO!

You hit anything larger than a squirrel and you're done.

  2. it depends on whether you have driving experience or not. if this is your first car you should def look at something a little bigger. because most of the time driving larger vehicles makes driving smaller ones easier, rather than vice versa. you would want to have experience driving different cars, not be stuck with a small car your whole life. parking and turning is harder on bigger cars than small ones, and thats a good thing because it wil just be that much easier when you do get to drive smaller cars. my recom. would be is to get a small suv or truck (gas prices are high but used honda crvs will do just fine) or any other big car your parents/siblings own. drive it for a month or two and once you are very comfortable with it, i would look into smart cars. im not implying you wil be a bad driver at all but statistics show younger drivers are more prone to accidents than experienced, so if you want to be safe id drive the safer more stable car. smart cars do not have excellent safety ratings.

this is an edit to maxmom:

smartcars did well in safety tests because of its steel cage that just basically didnt let the car completely destroy itself during a crash. basically besides the steel cage the cars panels itself are completely useless. just look at its size it looks like it can roll over from a slight gust of wind. i also wouldnt want to be going down the freeway with this car on a  wheelbase as long as a motorcycles.and just because its made by mercedes does not make it any safer. maybe if it was made by volvo..

  3. Sure. They don't go 100 mph and the size of them automatically induces a safety driving stance.

I drive a tiny 2 seater convertible, and I know from experience, larger SUV type cars usually give me some berth on the highway since they don't want to hit me.

Everyone driving around in tanks is not the answer.

Add: I have to add, smart cars did well in standard safety tests. They are made by Mercedes.

  4. No!!!  It is way too small...can you imagine getting hit by a big SUV or truck?

  5. no youcouldget ran over youshould geta  jeep so you can turn sharp

  6. Okay, if you really want me to.

Hey, young driver, buy a smart car!

  7. Probably, they are small for easy parking and good fuel economy.
