I frequent some Mustang forums and a lot of the guys there claim equal or more MPG after a CAI/Tune as well..

Chip modding a car by someone who knows what they are doing will give you a nice bump in horsepower. If the person who you trust to do the work will admit that doing so will decrease the lifespan of your car by 60%, they are honest and should be allowed to do the work.

yes its best thing to do after other mods such as big exhaust and inlet mods . it doesent affect engine life but reving the engine more to take advantage of mods does.mpg is all relitive to your right foot!

They get that "extra" HP by running the engine rich.  So your MPG will suffer (a lot).  It may also make your cat converter burn itself out.

So  that really depends on you.
