Would you recommend the Olympus FE 310, Canon A580 or Canon A590IS or Nikon?

Question

i just want a good standard camera, nothing fancy, for taking snapshots on my vacation. About 60% shots will be outdoors and 40% will be indoors, i also need a good brightness for indoor shots as the place is going to be very dark

i read many reviews of olympus and it seems that though it has very good features, it has an abysmal battery life (thats what i read),

can you elaborate on your experiences for this one or the others

I prefer Canon or Sony cameras.  I would get one with image stabilization.  I would recommend to get Canon A590 IS.  It has a lot of controls and image stabilization.
