If you are buying the car, get what YOU want. Find something food on gas. If your parents are buying it for you, take whatever you can get.

Sure!

Pros: it's sleek, it's stylish, comfortable, roomy inside, large trunk, lots of options such as moon roof, heated seats, 6 disc cd changer and mirror indicators.

Cons: the engine can be a bit noisy, the fuel economy isn't that great, the road noise is loud, and I have heard Jettas are known for their spotty reliability.

why not.

safety ratings give it 4 stars for side impact on both sides and 5 stars for frontal impact on both sides.

it's affordable.

21 mpg in city...a little low for a small car, but if that's cool with you.

Most colleges that I know of either dont allow driving for freshmen, or dont recommend it.

If this isnt true with your school, then the Jetta is an awesome idea. My brother just got it 2 months ago and we all love it.
