I need a new bike. I usually ride 8-10 miles to work and to the gym twice a day, I have to go up steep hills and deal with pot holes and drop-offs along the way so I need a bike that can handle this and also get me to places in quick time. Ive had very bad luck with the geared bikes that Ive ridden, thats why Ive considered getting a BMX single speed. Im basically looking for a bike with Durability for long rides and steep hills, and also will allow me to get to places in a short amount of time. Would a BMX single speed fullfill my wishes???

  1. No BMX,it was all I had for the longest time...and it sucked

and the steep hills will drive you nuts, They are ok if your gonna ride around a inner city or neighborhood there ok...but long distance sucks ***...Get a fixed gear or a moutain bike.

The moutain bike is prob what your gonna wanna get.

  2. I would not recommend a BMX, they are on the slow side.
