I am fishing in a fairly small crystal clear lake. I am fishing for large mouth bass and I heard this lure would do the trick. The only problem I see is that this lure is designed to bounce along bottom but if the bottom of the lake is muddy and not rocky will this lure still be effective?

  1. When I try out new lures, I always bring the ones I can count on in good or bad weather. Never rely on just one lure!

  2. If your crank bait kicks up some mud it will look like its feeding off the bottom, that's good. I found that in clear water the line and leader are more important than the lure. stealth is the word. Big large mouth got big being smart. Low light hours help. Top water baits in the first light hour and just before its too dark to fish (does that happen?) is my fave. Do you have weed beds or tall grassy ares? try fake frogs too. Fish on!
