I lost my wallet 4 days ago, with the equivalent of about $500 in Swedish currency AND about 10 cards (credit card, drivers license, key card, 2 library cards, 2 telephone cards etc etc. AND 4 bus ticket cards loaded with with about 40 to 50 trips AND 3 lottery tickets AND some other valuable stuff...

(I suspect that according to Murphy's law the one who found it will probably also win a couple of millions on one of the lottery tickets as well...)

  1. Yes, I would return it. $500 is too little to become a thief over. :)

The times I have found money, it was just 100 SEK bills. Those times I took them and gave the money to charity. I figured there was no way to know whom they belonged to.

But a wallet is another thing. I'd take that to the police station if I couldn't find the owner myself.

  2. Yes. I would turn it in to the police station. I don't steal. I'm so sorry for your sake. Yeah, Murphy's law's a b*tch... Hope the law is broken this time.

  3. Yes, honesty is honesty and the amount is not an issue.  That is not going to help you.  I trust you canceled the cards and reported this to the police or something because now you have to be consered about identity theft.

If you lost it in a remote location maybe no one has found it.
