We all know that the Earth can successfully land automated machines on Mars. Now is about the time for a human to put up their hand to be the first person to land on Mars. At this time, it's most likely that you will never return to Earth. Would you be willing to sacrifice your life for the greater glory??

  1. Without hesitation I would (okay maybe a little hesitation).

I cannot imagine a greater satisfaction then being among the very few who have broken free of the Earth itself... the world that has formed and sustained the only life we are aware of for countless generations.  And to be the first to step foot on another planet would be an achievement I couldn't attain in a thousand lifetimes.

I would prefer at least a 1% chance of not dying, so that I could have a little hope of returning... but if it was a certainty I would still go.  We all die at some point, but very few of us live on forever into history.  And very few of us get to experience something so amazing.

  2. i would do it without a second thought!  How awesome would that be to be the first person to experience that ever!  And your name would forever be in the history books.  So cool!

  3. not at all ,

what if there are problems up there , what if its not what we expected ? and being the only one there ? no thanks

  4. Absolutely- not!

Why would you go elsewhere, when you can 'still' have it all, here?

The greater glory I seek, is for the Lord!

  5. No.

  6. Sure.  But I'm not qualified.

I think it would be a great experience.

  7. yes i would,as i dont know what i can do in my life.so beter i jus end up my life up there

  8. I think i shall pass, but thanks for asking

  9. No, after a long trip like that I like to have a nice sleep in a clean, comfy, air conditioned hotel room and then dinner at a nearby restaurant.  Then onto some souvenir shops.  **** those dehydrated meals and recycled urine drinks.

  10. I do think we should colonize Mars for a number of reasons.

But I have not desire to go to that airless snowball.
