Haha, sorry if anyone's tired of the never-ending Breaking Dawn questions, but I'm about almost done with it, and my 10 year old sister wants to read it too.

I say no, because it's all inappropriate and sexual I think for someone her age, but I wanted to see what you guys think.

  1. I would let her read it. The s*x stuff isn't really detailed, and at 10 chances are she won't know what any of it means. Has she read the other books? If she hasn't then tell her to read them. Give her one every 2 or 3 months, and by the time she finishes them, she may be mature enough to read it. If she has read the other books, then let her read it.. I know how impatient I was to get Breaking Dawn. Why don't you ask your parents and see what they say?

I think she would enjoy it more if she was a little bit older, because then she would understand what its about. So...

Mature 10 year old: Let her read it

Normal 10 year old: Ask your parents, and wait a while

Immature 10 year old: Don't let her within 20 feet of the book!

    Good Luck!

  2. Breaking Dawn sounds like some cool invasion the US did on chinese soil...

  3. Well Dana.. I've only read the first one.. but the first one wasn't sexual at all really.. If it was I probably would've liked the series!!

    ahahaha, i'm just kiddin..

but i haven't read the 2nd or 3rd.. i think your ten year old sister shouldn't read it unless your mommy says that it is okay.. you dont wanna get in trouble.. haha

  4. nope dont let her read it... its just too mature for her...

or what you do is have your mom read it and then ask her if it is okay for your sis to read..

  5. no way i think if they are under 7th grade they SHOULD NOT read it mainly cuz its already too popular in my opinion (i liked it when only me and my friend knew about it lol)

  6. No one under 15 should read those books.  Oh...wait. <snicker>

  7. hmm... that is a toughie.... i would say no to reading breaking dawn.... i think she should wait a couple of years since it is a little bit more innapropriate for younger kids.... i think that the sexual content is fine for 13 yrs old and up, but younger than that... i don't think so...

  8. id think so. but i hav heard that evn 8 year olds hav read it and i am going to 7th grade and i read twilight wen i was 11 but it all depends on how much she knows. hav a talk with her and c if she knows about the stuff and judje upon how mature she is u know

  9. well I'm 12 and i love the book but i couldn't imagine letting my 10 year old sister reading it.....

  10. I don't see why not. In fact she might appreciate it more since shes younger.

  11. um no she can read the others but not this one to much sexual content and im older than that and i got grossed out but i still liked it and so i say no way

  12. hmmm.. i think that you should tell her to wait a little bit, because they do go into a little bit of detail, and i'm not sure if a ten year old would be mature enough to read it. yet.

    Edward rules!

  13. Your sister should wait until she is a little older to read it. Some of the concepts in Breaking Dawn will be a little too mature for her.

  14. Well I saw its not really Inappropriate for her...I mean 7 yr olds read the series! So i think you should let her read it but maybe explain it to your parents (or gardian) and see what they think!

and if you don't want to ask them let her read it and tell her if she has any questions to come to you...and answer them but don't go into TOO many details because you know she is still kind of small!

    I hoped I helped!

  15. I think that you are amaking a good decision by not allowing her to read it.  Like you said it is too mature for a ten year old.

  16. I wouldn't let her read it- not because of the s*x but because it's horrible and is eating everyone's brains.

  17. well it depends on how mature she is

its not like there is graphic s*x or anything

but if she a little immature you may not want to let her read it

  18. Try and explain to her that she might not understand some parts of it and that she'd enjoy it more when she was older, but if she really wants to read it now, that's okay.

She'd read it anyway people, so this way at least you've tried to deter her. Some copies have a sticker warning that it's not suitable for younger people anyway.

  19. Ten is far too young for that claptrap.

  20. She can read it because it will probably go right over her head. Its not detailed at all to me.

  21. I think this book is a little too mature for her. And I'm not saying that only because of the sexual content, which I don't think is very severe at all. But I mean Bella has a baby, she goes through alot of trauma that is hard for a young girl to understand yet. I'd be less worried about the sexual content and more worried that she won't understand the sexual content. Yes I'm sure, she knows how it works by now but she's not going to understand the love that Edward and Bella share and maturely take it in that this is an action out of love, not out of lust. s*x at this stage is out of a true love, and not dirty or anything. If anyone thinks what they did was dirty, then they really should not be reading the book. That's hard to explain in words, but I hope you understand what I mean about that.  I think she really should wait at least a few years until she's more mature.
