I was born in the U.S.A. I love my country. I work hard for my homeland. Although I am an American, I feel as though I am a dieing breed. I HATE the people who run MY COUNTRY. I am not saying I hate my fellow Americans, because the Citizens no longer run the U.S.A. The tail now wags the dog....I despise our BIG, Gun Toting Government. I understand that this is a Capitalist Society, money is what makes America go 'round. I see myself as an American Patriot, others say I am Anti-American because I speak out against our Government. I feel that as an American I should speak out against my government if I feel they are doing more harm than good in OUR world. Because of my "Patriotism" I am sometimes labeled as Anti-American. I feel that our Government is the "Bully on the block," that "Our Government is in the way." We are the reason this country even exists. What will it take for the American Citizens to actually fight the Government once again!?

  1. You sound like a true Patriot to me.

  2. If you are anti American, I know a whole bunch of people just here on YA that are too. I am a Patriot and I totally agree with you.  We are a dieing breed. We elect the people who run our country and instead of doing what's best for us, they turn on us and take care of other countries. They don't care about us or if we live or die.. or starve, or live on the street or anything else.. the only ones who matter are the ones with $ who pad their pockets and help them buy their $1000 suits.  Govt is in the way. I wish People could run America instead of govt.. I wouldn't even though at this point how to go about fighting the govt if we wanted to.. we are little peons and we don't matter. People /I have sent e-mails about issues important to me and they don't even send emails back acknowledging that they got it so they don't care what we have to say..

  3. you and me and all who question the government are patriots. our for father questioned the British government and this is the reason our country is here today. they had the for sight to en power us with the bill of rights. and it is our responsibility as citizens in this great country to use our rights to prevent the rise of unfair powers who claim to be working on our behalf. and to preserve our rights and freedoms for our children and our children's children just as the great men who founded this country did for us. It will take great in Justice and violation of our rights for us patriots to come to arms but when that call is made and the good fight must be fought i will be there with the true patriots to fight for what we hold dear . OUR RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS and the rights and freedoms of all citizens

  4. i beleive the government is getting to big and i dont like some of the people running it.  but i love my country and i want whats best for it.  i beleive that capitalism is one of the best forms of government.  we are slowley driffting away from that and its making me mad.

you are a patriot because you want what you beleive is best for it.

  5. please dont get supporting what ever hijinks the current adminstration is pulling confused with patriotism.nothing could be further from the truth

  6. You are definitely a patriot. I feel the same way you do. The american citizens are to busy with American Idol and Myspace. So I think they will fight but when it's too late. Check out Infowars.com

  7. The greatest patriots are those who question there governments every act.

Patriotism is "Love of country" not "Love of government"

Love of country causes me to hate what the government is or has done to it. "Love of liberty" causes me to revolt against it.

    SOCIALISTS DIE!!! (no really...die)

  8. Well, that is what makes this a great country. You can say whatever you want against the gov't without repercussion. Freedom of speech at its finest.

I think you are a patriot. You love your country so much, you are willing to stand out, cry aloud, and try to right a wrong.

  9. It is a time honored tradition to be anti-governement in this country, your only Anti-American when you hope that we fail at everything due to your hatred of a policy or person in office.

There is a lot to be proud of as well-when you combine govt' and private donations we are the most generous people on earth for giving as total amount and per capita (Gov't per capita alone title is held by either the Fin or Norwegians, can't remember), we are the number one donar to Africa for fighting AIDS/Malaria and for clean water, we keep the sea lanes open for trade, we still have more freedom than any other country on the earth-go check it out and compare us to Europe and Canada where speech, the press, privacy, criminal codes are far more restrictive on the idividual than ours are. Our Military, although being used improperly a lot lately has acted with a remarkable restraint despite what you see in the news about occasional crimes and they have been fighting for other nations since the 1900's and keeping the peace during the Cold War. Even the scare about the Patriot Act should be taken back a notch or four, the FISA and many parts of the Act have been struck down, the courts have ruled for transparency over and over again and things like the Freedom of Information Act will keep it that way. Do not let one man's bumbling destroy your faith in this country, he is just a President, he will be gone soon and Iraq is working now (despite he and Rummy's bungling) and while many countries feel anger towards us, well, they really always felt that way, especially in Europe. WE have always recovered from terrible leaders, Jimmy Carters era was the worst in the last 50 years as far as the economy, foriegn policy and domestic policy went and we got out of that via Reagan and Clinton and some great inventions and the fact that we always adapt and can flex. 8 years does not an end make.

  10. You said a lot. Like radio host Michael Jackson says, "We always get the government we deserve". He's quite right about that because we're the idiots that elect them.

Don't feel bad speaking out against the government. The whole idea is to "Stand beside her and guide her". Not to blindly follow the in crowd just because it's easier or desperate to be liked.

  11. I'm sure our country is the "Bully on the block," every time we give aids money to Africa, help the tsunami victims, save the Iraqi people from a terrorist regime, feed the hungry, how quick dummies forget we were attacked on 9/11 (but I'm sure in your mind it was somehow our fault). The world has to be policed by someone. Who would you prefer, China.
