Would you say Julius Erving is better than Pete Maravich?

the Doctor was a better defender and dunker, Pete was the GREATEST scorer in NCAA history (and would have AVERAGED over 50 points per game if the 3 point line had been adopted earlier by the NCAA) and had ball handling and dribbling skills that even Magic admitted were the BEST EVER...

I'm thinking a wash on this one ESPECIALLY since they played different positions...

Dr. J is the man. Its kind of hard to say who's better though, because people would always refer to the "Dr. J created the slam dunk!" kind of thing...

Yes, both were turnover prone but Dr. J was far more versatile.

Dr J was better because he won a ring and had great defense
