Would you say Marat Safin has the most impressive backhand in men's tennis?

As a tennis player, I'm always amazed by the guys that have better backhands than forehands. Marat Safin reminds me a little of Stefan Edberg, who also had a weaker forehand than backhand. Of course that's about the only thing those 2 players have in common.

At the club level, I've never seen anyone who has a better backhand than forehand. My forehand is awesome, and my backhand is an absolute disaster. I think I could've played professionally if not for my backhand......

Anyway, have you noticed Safin's backhand? He can blast it down the line like nobody else. I think it's his height and physical strength that allows him to do this.

What are your thoughts on this? Who do you think has a better backhand?

If you're talking about two-handed backhands, then yes, Safin has one of the best, if not the best, two-handed backhands in the game. He is just so much more consistent of that wing and it's wonderful to watch him crush it down the line. But Nalbandian and Djokovic also are worth mentioning as having the best two-handed backhands as well. You just cannot attack any of these guys on the backhand side and win points too often.

Yeah, Marat has a great backhand. So powerful.

I also like Roger Federer's backhand. I like his style.

Justine Henin also had a very nice backhand, don't you think?

Yes, Safin is able to flatten out that backhand pretty well and basically hit any corner he wants to. Some others who generate a ton of pop on there backhands and have precise accuracy are richard gasquet, Venus williams, and marcos baghdatis.

Yeah his backhand is good. I wish his patience would just be as good as his backhand because that would definitely make me a fan!

his backhand is good, but i love  the federer backhand. i think federer has the best backhand in mens tennis,djokovic has the best two handed backhand
