Would you say body image is a conflict, functionalist, or symbolic perspective?

  1. Body images exist irrespective of perspectives. Its the perspective that views how the body image is constructed. For example the Critical School or the Frankfurt School would tend to view body images constructed and disseminated through mass media which tends to limit the diversity and creativity of people by resorting to stereotypes (girls-pink, beauty, feminine, fair, thin; boys-blue, masculine, sporty, repairman, etc...)
