Would you say something to your sister ?

that her 12 year old daughter looks and acts and dresses like a hooker? i love my neice and i dont wont her to have or to get a bad rep.

You can say something, but does it not strike you as a little odd that your sister does not see it after all she is the child's mother and should care enough to let her daughter know she cares.

yes, absolutely. There is enough pressure on kids to grow up too young these days. She needs to slow down and be a child.

yes tell her that your niece dresses very inappropriately for her age, and you are worried that some creep might get the wrong idea and try to harm her.  Offer to take your niece out and help her buy age appropriate clothing.  I think a lot of girls go through that stage, because they want to look older than they are or they have one pubic hair and think they are hot, but there is a way to dress and have a good self image, and be appropriate.

Are you close with your niece? Maybe you could talk to her yourself and explain reputations, and how those reputations come about. Most girls dress/act that way for attention, and maybe you could explain how that kind of attention is negative. If your sister hasn't noticed or doesn't care already how her daughter dresses and acts, I don't know that talking to her about it will change anything.

Yes I would. I wouldn't tell her that she looked like a hooker, but maybe pull her to the side and ask her if she would like you to take her shopping for some new clothes. You should also talk to your sister and tell her that you are concerned about the way your niece is dressing and that you think it's not appropriate for someone her age to be dressing that way.
