Question:

Would you say that Fire is one of few things that got us thru the ice age?

Writing a report and would like to back up my theory with real fact. Anything will help thanks.

  1. I am Not surely that the fire got us from the ice age but i think

    that the fire we got in the rainy season.


  2. Fire is definitely one of the greatest acheivment in those times.

    BUT it would have been useless if our ancestors couldnt harness it in a proper and intelligent way.

    Where animals and lesser creatures would run our ancestors would use it for food, lighting, etc.

Not sure on exact meaning of your question, but Ice Age was long period of time, in which humans evolved to present form.   Early humans were living in warmer areas of the world (Africa & Middle East, SE Asia).  Europe, norther Asia was visited by hunters and gatherers, but this depend on the ability to achieve food and surviving harsh weather in that latitudes.  

    Fire did help to increase survability rate, but it was food resources that were the most important of for the Ice Age man.  Middle East and Africa had abundant food supply and moderate weather, therefore, the ice on the poles did not play a role for the cave man.
