Would you say the Scottish 1st Division is the most competitive league in Britain

Every season at least half of the teams are capable of winning it which makes it so difficult to predict a winner. Actually, can you even remember the last time the bookies favourite won it? Who would you put your money on this season?

  2. thats very true lammy. cant remember the last favourite to win. i'll go for queen of the south as they were excellent for the second half of last season and if they managed to hold on to most of those players then they could be there or there abouts

  5. I agree with Thomas, it has to be the English Championship, there are always so many teams come the last few weeks, with a chance of a play-off place or going up automatically.

  6. In answer to above, there are quite a few English players playing in the Scottish First Division so I'm sure they and their families care, and if you don't why are you posting in a 'sweaty sock' forum you jumped up little southerner.

    Ahem...that's my rant over Lammy, yes it's very competitive and could be as the teams play each other more often which make the games more vital and desperate.

    I agree that Dundee look pretty strong this season, you have teams like Dunfermline, St Johnstone, Queen of the South, Livi who are going to be at the sharp end. I took in a good few Stirling Albion games last season and the football from some of the sides visiting was pretty good.

  8. I thought Queen of the south or dundee - but just back from Palmerston the now and if they continue to play like that, they have no chance.

    Yes it is very competitve, i also think the championship in England is good that way.

  9. Has to be Dundee for me. I believe they will make Spl next season, and i fancy them to do it quite comfortably.

  11. Absolutely not. The English league is the most competitive in the U.K.  and in my opinion in the whole world.
