Would you say the place where you live is good for families with children?

right now i live in Lawton, OK, right outside of Ft Sill. this place sucks! i would not recommend to raise any children here. the main street is literally 'gunshop, liquor store, strip club, gunshop, liquor store, strip club....', just the basic military town filled with hood rats and thugs that think they are cool.

and with it being a military town, most of the people here have a history of some type of STD which is pretty sad.

i hate to say it, but i cant wait for my hubbys deployment date so i can go back home.

Yes, we have lots of parks for kids to play in around here,we have bike riding tracks, we have a wetlands reserve down the road where you can walk, fish and go boating, and for the most part it is quiet and very safe. we also have many shopping centres close by but far enough away to feel like you are in the country.

It would depend on which part of the town you live in here.

Like most other cities, mine also has its run down and less friendly areas. There are lovely suburbs that surround it, though, with lots of places for family get-togethers. Lots of parks here, and outdoor activities as well, considering all of the breathtaking nature that we have. So if I had to rate it on a scale of 1-10, it would be about a 7.
