State Fair

Livestock barns..............Pungent aromas

Moo-ing sounds.............Fill the air

Hay on the ground.........Food all around

Sheep are shorn...........Wool sweaters for sale

Judging begins.............A favorite picked

Blue ribbon won...........And cherished

No, this isn't the one lost in my dreams.

  1. Perfectly "Fair." I'm headed to one tomorrow too.

  2. Not baaaaaahhdd!!!!

  3. You really are good at these.....each verse reads so naturally and then when put together you cannot even see the join.  I don't think anyone does these better than you.

And the subject to-day is lovely - you've encapsulated A Country Fair so succinctly....(how's about that, two long words in one sentence?)

  4. The farm like quality makes this poem appealing, and cute. The salesmanship going on at the fair makes it seem like a very hectic place, filled with all sorts of different people.

Good job. I hope you enjoyed your trip to the fair.

  5. Great Trigee!   4H fairs, town and county fairs!  A very fair trigee!

  6. As beautiful as it's author.

  7. Very visual and perfectly executed. I tried one yesterday and again, it is marginally acceptable. Think I'll stick to Rondels--they're much easier for me.
