The Chicago Public Schools will be boycotted for equal school funding. What would you do? Would you send your child to school?

The boycott is supposed to last until there is equal school funding. Chicago schools give failures to students that are absent over 9 days.

  1. of course...they need school....

  2. the link to the article did not work for me but I will still give my 2 cents.

As long as the child knows whats going on and you do not let them treat the missed days as a vacation I say let them stay home. Although I think the parents should still get together and make a deadline and determine when they will send their children back to school. If you can at all let them get active w/ the boycott in some way. Have them make signs or something.

  3. If I were in Chicago area, I would tend to support the boycott and keep my child home.

  4. This is a hard one for sure. How awful. I'm really proud of these people for standing up for what they believe in. How incredible. I would have to really think about this. It would not be an easy decision and I would be concerned if I made the right one. I'm leaning towards going with the boycott. But I believe education is very important and critical now more than ever.
