If I worked in a fast food restaurant and saw an obese individual I would tell them to order a salad or not eat here at all. I would feel so guilty giving them a Big Mac or fries or a pizza because I will be helping them in hurting themselves. Obesity is a major problem in America and I want to be part of the solution and problem. Do you agree with my views?

  1. you make me sick talking bout obese people like that my family is over weight

  2. So you would feel guilty giving them what they ordered but it would be okay to tell them they should order a salad. That is just absurd. Yes obese people maybe should think about what they are eating but that is their issue not yours. You do not have any idea what their situation is so just do your job and give them what they want.

  3. The customer is always right.

    Don't discriminate.

It's their choice to be fat, not everyone else's.

  4. well why not? its their choice not urs.

  5. If they were a fully paying customer, then why not?

  6. No. I totally Disagree with you! They can do what They want you can not stop them! It is NOT up to you! Oh yah and You would probably get fired and hurt the place you work! Now I think it is sad that people do that to themselves but it is Not your desicion!

  7. that is discrimination!

So, I would advise you to find employment elsewhere other than a restaurant!

You are too much of a liablity.

I worked in a restaurant before and did not feel guilty. I was serving them per my job description. I did feel bad for their addiction though.

YEs, obesity is a major problem so they should make better tasting fat-free food!!!

  8. DO NOT DO THAT! You will get yourself into some major trouble. If you really want to help, find a community program (kids sports team; active daycamp) and volunteer. Make a differnce where it matters, before it happens- you have no business telling other adults what to spend their money on.

  9. If I were the fat person you said that to I would reach over the counter and punch you in the face. How dare you tell others, strangers, what to eat and not eat. How insulting. You must be perfect. You will be sat on soon.

  10. It's not your problem if anyone orders anything bad for them and you should just not take a job if it concerns you so much!! Fast food retailers should be worrying about it, not their employees. You'd get sacked pretty much instantly!! I would be well upset if I got a 'helpful' suggestion to order a salad! Sorry, but I totally disagree with your views and I think maybe a job as a dietician or weight watchers leader would be a good option if you are really that concerned about it all, or make a campaign to your government.  I am not obese or even fat and this view horrified me.

  11. they are probably really good customers.

i would serve them anything they wanted.

it would be rude to tell them to eat a salad or go someplace else.

    that is like discrimination.

  12. yes

  13. yeah if i want to keep my job. if you say that, they'll complain, get their food anyway, only for free now, you'll get fired. or maybe just p**s em off and they'll go somewhere else. anwyays, its up to them, not you. i can see why youd want to tho. but there are better ways to go about being part of the solution.

  14. It really isn't the employees business. They are the customer. Besides that would be extemely rude. I understand your concern, but it really wouldn't be your place.

  15. I would serve anyone who had the money to pay for what they order.

Judging people about their decisions is not my job as a fast food industry employee.  You should be concerned about providing good, fast service, providing a good quality product for your paying customers and keeping everything clean and sanitized and quit looking down your nose at the people who pay your salary.  We are what we are.  We live in America so we can have freedom to make our own choices.  If you don't like it, quit your job.
