Would you shave your legs if it weren't socially so expected?

Men's facial hair, while expected to be neat, is not thought of as a big deal if it there or not.

If it were the same for your legs would you shave them?

well you know had I never shaved my legs in the first place...out of peer pressure when I was in the 4th grade...I probalby would still have thought of shaving them.  Im not much into hair.  I don't care for arm hair or leg hair...pit hair...pubic hair.  None of it.  If razors where never invented..I still would have thought of something.  Comb or scissor baby!!

I don't shave my legs, I never wear dresses or skirts and I really don't have much hair on my legs! And no one see's my legs so there is no point in shaving them!

I have little body hair so shaving my legs isn't a big deal for me. I only do it when the hair gets long enough when I can see it and that only occurs about once a month. I only do the fronts of my shins. I don't shave the backs of my legs or above my knees because there is not really any hair there to shave.

Yes, I don't like the way it looks or feels.

For the same reason, men's facial hair may not be such "a big deal" to some, but I don't like the way it looks or feels, either.

Hecks no!! I hate shaving my legs. One time, while pregnant and contorting myself into odd positions to shave the backs of my thighs, I cut my nipple. How messed up is that?

I only shave my legs because my husband likes it.  If he didn't, I wouldn't bother.

Yes,I think hair is kind of disgusting,I wear it only on my head and I prefer my man has it only on his legs.Hair tends to hold oders and I have very sensitive sense of smell.

i don't always shave my legs now and no one cares. my boyfriend told me the other day that he doesn't understand why i bother. i shave when i want to and thats ok with me and thats ok with every person i would ever want to associate with.

I don't really shave my legs that often now... The hair on my legs is really fine, so it's not even noticeable anyways.  So no, I probably wouldn't shave my legs if nobody else did because it wouldn't be expected of me.

h**l no.  I hate shaving.  I do it cuz I think it looks nicer, but assume I wouldn't think it looked nicer unless I was conditioned to.

Nothing would change, I don't do it for society...half the time, my legs are hairy, it provides good insulation in winter, and in the summer, shaving makes me cooler...its really more of a comfort thing. My man does appreciate smooth legs, so I shave for him sometimes...

I shave my legs when I feel like it, not according to some externally imposed standard.

If I am wearing shorts and I have stubble on my legs, so what?   As Kathy Griffin would say, "everyone else can suck it!"

probably not, just because i think it looks kindu ugly =P at least on me.  i just hate it when my legs are hairy!  even if it was ``in style`` to have hairly legs i probably wouldn`t.
