Question:

Would you start to show at nine weeks pregnant?

Just wondering when you would first notice a physical difference in your appearance during pregnancy. Would you feel your belly start to go hard at nine weeks if it is flat and has no fat on it? Would the bump be starting to form?

Thanks!

  1. It depends.  Each person is different and each pregnancy is different.

Yes, it is possible at 9 weeks for clothes not to fit.  How much of an actual bump versus bloating is questionable.  Ask your doctor.

  2. I weighed 97lbs.at 5'5" and didn't show or get the bump till I was almost 5 months

  3. You'll notice the change in your body way before anyone else does. I thought I was huge and no one could even tell. This time mind you I've just turned 12 weeks (4th pregnancy, 2nd child) and everyone is commenting at how big I am already.

The bump won't be the baby of course because it's way to small at the moment, but your muscles loosen and get ready to stretch and you will be a bit bloated, whether you feel like it or not.

My stomach is usually very flat and toned and has no fat whatsoever on so I noticed a change in my belly straight away, even with my first pregnancy

  4. Um probably wouldnt show this early, to be honest i cant remember when i started to show.  You would prbably feel bloated as your uterus and bub starts to grow.

Probably start to show at about 3 or 4 mths though.

  5. Every woman is different, but most likely you'll just be a little bloated.  Most people will have no clue that you are pregnant.  Some women will start to develop a LITTLE pooch, but most women don't look noticeably pregnant until around 20 weeks.  I started getting a noticeable pooch around 16 weeks that just looked like I had eaten too many oreo cookies.  Good luck!

  6. in about a month or so maybe two

  7. Your uterus is still inside of your pelvis, and the baby is about the size of a strawberry. Much too small to show.

  8. it depends on the person and how many pregnancies they have had.    if it is your first pregnancy you may notice a difference but it would not be apparent to any one else most likely.  when you are thinner the muscles are usually a lot more toned and you actually show later than someone with a little meat on their bones but if you are obese you usually will also show later because you have extra fat to hide the pregnancy and generally tend to just look like you have put on more weight.  this is not always the case how ever.  for me with my first I started to notice a difference around 8 weeks nothing that really mattered, it just felt like my stomach was toning up by it's self by 12 weeks I was in maternity clothes.  with my second I started wearing maternity around 10 weeks and with this one it was almost immediately.

here is my 8 week picture with this one.

  9. At 9 weeks, you may feel a bump, but more than likely it's from bloating which is very common in early pregnancy.  If this isn't your first pregnancy, you will certainly show sooner than first time moms.  The bloating can cause a bump and it may even feel hard, but at this stage, that's not the baby or the uterus.  It is still to small at this point and won't "pop" for several more weeks.

    Good Luck and Congrats!

  10. If you are showing that early, it's just bloating.  Most people don't start to get a little bump until 3-4 months, which isn't always noticeable to others.  Your belly doesn't get hard until much later in the pregnancy.

With both of my children, others didn't notice I was pregnant until around 5 mos.
