IF your father didn't want to see you again in his life & you have tried many times to talk to him but still he docent want... WOULD you still contingue to try & invite him to your 21 Birthday?

haha. my 21st b-day is the LAST place i would invite my dad. I plan on getting trashed beyond belief. anyhow, definitely never give up on trying to retain a relationship with your family, even if its just horrible fighting...its better than being left behind entirely.

Yes, be a pest about it if need be. A girl needs her dad, and he needs you, he just doesn't want to admit it. Keep on and on at him, he'll come around I hope.

That's tough to hear.

Just send him an invitation but don't expect anything. You've done your best to reach out to him--if he doesn't come around, know that you've made and effort and the ball is in his court.

Yeah, I would. It's not up to him if he wants to see you or not. He's your father and he should have decided that before he and your mother conceived you. Don't allow him to have the easy way out. Invite him and tell him that he HAS to be there or he will never get to be a part of your children's lives when you have them. Simple as that. Ultimatums work wonders if the person you're giving them to has a heart. Parents almost always melt when they hear talk about grandchildren. So...if he cares about your future and being able to see your kids, then he'll learn to deal with his demons and be around you. He might just be feeling guilty for his past actions. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Do your share in putting in the effort and let him do the rest. Be it that he decides to continue to be a jerk, then fine. At least you'll know you did what you had to do.
