How many times and under how many names are you going to ask this?  You can stay home and visit NO countries , if you like, as there are Canadians in jails all over the world...and there are foreigners in Canadian jails too.  Aad they all say they are innocent.

I will put money on that she is actually guilty.  

People love committing crimes and living the high life in another county, than expect their home land to bail them out when they get busted.  

I am travailing to Mexico in 2 weeks and have nothing to worry about.

No idea who D.Martin is or how he was treated in Mexican jail. But hey, it's not like it's any secret that the Mexican police and criminal justice system is totally chaotic and corrupt.

I lived there in Guadalajara for 3 years and I didn't really have any significant problems with the police.

But just being there puts you at risk and its a risk you have to be willing to take.

Rules are different down there. Plain and simple.

Absolutely...she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.  I've been to Guadalajara (where she is in jail) twice, and never had a problem.  Whenever you visit a country that is under Napoleonic Code, you have to realize that something like that is a remote possibility, and plan accordingly.  I certainly sympathize with her, but I'm not going to let a country's prisoners determine whether I visit or not.

I was many times in Acapulco, Cancun, manzanillo, Los cabos etc. and never I  found trouble ...so if you are in US , Canada or any other country  you can going to the jail for many reasons maybe you are in the wrong  place at the wrong time  , so  enjoy the life and relax , is like thinking that  you never going back to New York because in September 11 some mad people kill hundreds ...everyday the same mad stay waiting for kill you don´t be negative....
