  1. nothing is going to work. if we strike and not use gasoline...prices will still go up....we could all use more or less...it still wouldn't matter. they will always be excuses for why gas prices are so high.

  2. The way it's spiking, $15/gallon is not unreasonable.  Hope you have a good job LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. You will hear that prices go up because of islamic punishment for western infidels, this may be a part of it but gas prices go up because of greedy OPEC people and greedy traders on the NYSE and greedy Gasoline barons in the oil companies.

Picketing will do little good, this is how the Bouigouisee will control the Proletariat in the Peoples Glorious Republic of America.

  4. Do you have any idea how strikes work?  Didn't think so.

Look up 'supply and demand'. Even if everyone cut back to bare essentials, we'd still need much more fuel than the oil companies would feel  bad about losing. If you REALLY want to 'strike', convert your car to something else, like ethanol. Don't strike, just end your participation. Gas is high enough now that you'd save money by switching.

  5. A strike naw, but people need to be aware and people in power need to take action to break our dependancy. Most people dont know this, but most water bottles are made with a plastic derived from crude oil. Making bottles to meet Americans demand for bottled water requires more than 1.5 million barrels of oil annually, enough to fuel some 100,000 U.S. cars for a year.

Cut our consumption, create a better public transportation system such as more electric busses and trains. Look at Japan's train system..

  6. i would, but cannot live without gas. same as cigarettes. doesnt matter if they go up, its a necessity
