Question:

Would you sue a contractor for uneven floor?

floor was buckled, then in trying to fix that portion the floor became uneven with two rows of ridges in that part and when i step on it it seems slightly soft. would you sue a contractor like that.

thanks. HAVE ABOUT SEVEN MONTHS LEFT ON WARRANTY.

I would give him/her pure h**l..I would not just verbally demand it..but send a registered letter signed receipt requested for it and save a copy of it...This way They won't claim you never requested the correction after the warranty runs out...I have seen this done before..and it was thier word against the clients...In the letter state the "intent to sue" if not corrected..and also state if he does not fix it , you will have another contractor do so, and he will be liable for the bill.


  2. I would certainly approach the contractor about the problem before the warranty runs out, that way if he refuses to fix the problem then you'll have grounds to sue. Have a great day.
