Would you support integration of Turkey yo European Union?

This is one of my english debate motion. I would ask your opinion. Yes or no? And why do you think so?

No this country just brings trouble

It all depends on the time line, right now,no.

A couple more years then yes, not as of today though.  Also Turkey is not even technically in Europe.  Also many EU members still oppose Turkeys entrance because they see the country culturally different from the rest of Europe.  If Turkey joins they would have the second largest population and therefore many seats in the European Parliament, and would eventually out number Germany by 2020 or so.

But then again you need Turkey because it is the country that "connects" Europe to East, which is something we need right now.  It's a difficult position to accept and also push back it's membership to a later time.

In a couple of years, yes, in other words not now.
