  1. If I had met the other people to be living in MY house, knew the condition of their dwelling, and did background checks on them, yes, I'd consider trading homes for a year. Sounds very interesting. An extended vacation, with free accomodations!


  2. Under some limited circumstances, I might consider it. there are a lot of places where you can't stay for extended periods without a visa. If I were on an extended assignment somewhere and someone from the company were moving the other direction for the same time and I knew that person(s), then I might well do it. I wouldn't even consider swapping with someone I didn't know though.

    I have, however, had people as guests for a few months on occassion. Typically these were students coming as summer interns or someone moving into the area and staying while in the process of buying a house.
