If The airship flew at 100 mph, and you could walk around, have snack bars and arcades, not be confined to a seat

  1. i would take a jet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Given the time I think I'd enjoy an airship, although rather than arcades and snack bars, I'd rather have nicely appointed cocktail lounges and dining areas.  Plus somewhere private to sleep.  Even at 100mph, it would be an average of 5 times as long to get the same distance of the jet, meaning a transatlantic flight would be what, 35 hours or so?

  3. If I had the time to spare, Airship without doubt.  Spectacular view and penthouse amenities.  Little bit rushed but not to bad, Clipper would be nice, luxurious with intriguing stopovers.  Oh by the way, the first 'cross pond' 747's did have a lounge on the uper deck, for first class, no business class yet, complete with lounge chairs.  It was for in-flight use only. There were lap belts for emergency and ashtrays because smoking was permitted, even cigars, yuckkk.

  4. I'd probably take the airship.  It would be nice to travel in style and be able to walk around actually sit down for a meal and sleep in a real bed.  Airship travel in it's day was the height of luxury air travel.  They traveled low enough so that you really see the countryside below and the passengers would wave at passing ships.  Imagine traveling in an airship coming in to N.Y., Washington or flying over the Grand Canyon and other scenic wonders of the world that you miss flying high in the stratosphere?  It wouldn't be fast but that's not always important.

  5. no matter what the airship has in it, you're forgetting the suspense in the jet the d**n speed

man imagine yourself in a jet  dammit that would be a nice day

if you're not taking it to war of course!!

  6. Probably once Ii would take airship to try, but I would use jet because it's a lot faster of course.
