Would you take fame posthumously?

If it was the only way to take it, that is?

Remembered in a heroic manner for possibly saving someone, honored and becoming a celebrated name in death

Instead of assimilating into the normalcy of society

  1. OMG YES!...I'm dying to be famous!!!

  2. I don't need to be "famous" to be happy with my life. No, fame isn't needed.

  3. Mostly everybody famous became famous after they died.

Interesting question, but I think I'd rather live...unless I became famous after I lived out a relatively full life, then go ahead, lay on the fame.

  4. Seeking FAME for doing good is the FIRST of the deadly sins.

PRIDE is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.

Instead people are best remembered when they seek God grace in fulfilling Virtues #3 and #4. CHARITY which is concern for, and active helping of, others.

FORTITUDE which is never giving up regardless of acting will bring us fame or not.

Many of us will DO SOMETHING for someone else but only when there is a REWARD for us either material or otherwise.

  5. I guess it'd depend just what I was famous for.

If it was for something heroic, like I'd sacrificed my life for someone, I guess it would be nice to be recognised.

If it was because I was an entertainer, such as comedy, acting, singing etc, it wouldn't matter as much, it'd just be a bonus.

But then, I wouldn't be able to exactly celebrate my fame or recognitian. But then who knows? Maybe if you go to Heaven, you look down on everyone and you can see whats going on.

But that opens up a whole different argument so I'll just say, it'd be nice to be recognised posthumously, because even if I couldnt celebrate it myself, my family would be quite happy knowing I was being recognised for my work. =]

  6. I would not, my words and thoughts are erratic and emotionally charged and would invariably be horrendously distorted and maligned for the interests and purposes of the very people I loathe.

If I were cast adrift in life why on Earth would I desire to be discussed or considered posthumously.
