Would you take up arms?

If our government became tyrannical, if it stopped serving its citizens the way it should, or if your freedoms seemed to be at the verge of being taken away, as according to the 2nd Amendment, would you take up arms to reestablish a new and righteous government (with the same Constitution)? Or would you just comply quietly and make the best out of life?

  1. this is why the 2nd Amendment is so important. The government cannot stop every fair-minded citizen should we decide its time to revolt and start from scratch. If people weren't so afraid of putting guns in the hands of good, fair-minded citizens, there could be no better way to keep our government in check.

  2. My answers to your 3 questions are;

    1) depends

    2) Define Righteous

    3) No, even thou the "Abbott and Costello" (New Tricky d**k and Georgie Boy) and their followers have tried.

I hope my answers help you.

  3. i would take up arms...........if i was 18 lol

  4. YES.

  5. In other words what you are actually implying is a country with and country without constitution. Consitution guarantee rights. If the rights including freedoms are taken away that would amount to abrogating the constitution. When there is no constitution, courts will be deprived of their powers which they derive from constitution.Freedoms forms the basic structure of constitution. Once the freedoms are taken away the political existence of a country gets jeopardized and the battle to get the constitution restored begins. The battle may assume by a peaceful struggle or by violent means.

  6. well.

me and my 30.06 and winchester 12 ga.

    says F*CK NO.

there will be a revolt if this ever happens.

  7. Depends on how bad it got. I could live without a gun in my home (since you specifically referenced the right to bear arms) but if my right to freedom of speech/religion/assembly was revoked, I could definitely see myself fighting to regain my rights as granted by the U.S. Constitution.

  8. ill fight any enemy of freedom demestic or not

  9. I have given that thought.  The answer is no. If a revolution happened then we wouldn't fight the government, we would fight soldiers from out own home towns serving the government.  Even if we won, the real villains would be long gone with all the cash they could carry.  If the country became a tyranny then I would do my best to leave.

No matter how bad a government is, the revolutionaries who replace them are usually worse. Many of our fellow Americans are only too happy to surrender any rights asked of them out of fear terrorism or any other boogie man proclaimed by the media and the government.

I understand the philosophy that people have a right and a duty to put down their own government if it becomes foul and I am not convinced that ours is that bad yet.  But even if it is, it is the government that most of our people seem to want and they have the right to it.

If the frogs want a crane king who am I to deny them?

  10. I would definitely take up arms... on the government's side!  So yeah, s***w everyone else, I'd work my way up the tyrannical ladder and live the "good" life.

  11. If the government was tyrannical the US constitution says it's our duty to overthrow it.
