  1. I think it's safe enough especially for a 2 yr old:) I will be taking my son who is almost 3 to one in a few weeks:)

  2. When I read that questions the idea of a disease didn't even enter my mind. I've never heard of such a thing.

Take precautions against the sun, and drowning and of course strangers, and I see no reason why she couldn't go.

  3. its okay. the water is cold so she wont catch anything, my son is the same age and we took him a couple of weeks ago. it was great and he didnt get anything. hope you have fun. =)

  4. I wouldn't worry about her catching a disease. Make sure she wears a life vest and keep a close eye on her. She'll have a ball and so will you!!!

  5. I have a 2 yr old and have been thinking of taking him to the waterpark too.  I didn't even think of diseases!!!  I would like to think that they put extra chlorine in the little kids sections for diaper/ potty accidents.

  6. it will be fine  just make sure you have sunscreen and plenty of swim diapers. the park wont allow regular diapers

  7. I think it is safe just make sure your with her and that she has her life vest on

  8. Yes. It can be a lot of fun if your child isn't afraid of water. Just shower them off afterwards and tell them not to drink the water. Use those swimming ear plugs if you like, if anything an ear infection is probably the worst thing you will get from a public pool.

  9. We took our boys when they were pretty young.  They use a lot of chlorine and we had no problem.   Make sure to wash her hands before she eats anything. See if you can rent or bring a life jacket in case she wants to go on some of the bigger rides with you.

  10. I would, but only because I also have older kids.  I wouldn't be more worried about disease than at any other public place, and a toddler can certainly have fun at a water park.  For the amount of money you'd be paying, though, it's worth considering that your toddler would probably have equally as much fun stomping in puddles in the back yard.  I think it makes somewhat more sense to take them when they're at least 3 or 4.

  11. I have 5 girls (13, 6, 4, 2, and 10 months). We recently took all 5 of them (plus the oldest took some friends) to a water park. I stayed with the 2 little ones. My husband took the 6 and 4 year old. Then the oldest and her friends went on the rides they want to (they all had cell phones and numbers programed into my phone).

The kiddie section is where I stayed with the little ones. It was super clean. I reminded the kids not to put their mouths on anything, not to drink the water, etc. It worked out really fun. The liked sitting in the water, climbing on the stairs, sliding down the slides, spinning the "water wheel", etc.

A good day in the sun with all the kids! So far none of them are sick. Don't forget the sunscreen and the wide-brim hats. And those water shirts are a lifesaver.

  12. The only way I can see for her to catch a disease is for some other kid to have had a potty accident but the parks know about this so there is normally extra chlorine in the litle kids pool.

The highest danger is most probably sunburn so use a waterproof suncrem but remember to keep reapplying it as it will still wash off slightly.

You might want to condsider the price of the water park - it it doesn't give your toddler a discount rate then don't bother paying the full price when you are only using a tiny bit of the park.

If you do go then make sure you put your child in a swim diaper and bring a few spares incase they are needed. Even if your little girl is toilet trained you don't want to be in the situation when you are banned from the water park because she had an accident as 2 year olds do and did a poo in the pool, it's much better to be on the safe side and have her wear a diaper.

  13. The water is chlorinated at public pools and water parks.  This will kill any viruses or diseases.

  14. Yes I would ;D
