Question:

Would you tape your babies birth if you could?

I think I would, because I never got to see either of my children being born, because I was doing all the work. It may be sick or gross, but being never able to have children again. I think I just missed something not being able to see them born. Not to mention I could show it to my teenage daughter when she gets older to show her what child birth is really like so she won't be so quick to jump the horny horse and have pups of her own. What do you think?

  1. I didn't tape the birth of my son, but I had an annoying mother in the room snapping photos of me while I was giving birth.

It was fully against my wishes (and my doctor screamed at her quite a bit since it was against his policy as well), but my mother did it anyway.

That part p!ssed me off really bad while I was in labor, and the fact that she showed everyone she knew pictures of me nude from waist down with an umbilical cord and a screaming baby sticking out of you know where!

But now that that's over with and the embarrassment of everyone in my family knowing what my 'area' look like... I'm actually kind of glad to have pictures of my precious baby's first moment in this world.

They are pictures I'll cherish forever.. <3

So, yes.. its gross, its embarrassing, but if at ALL POSSIBLE -- I recommend taping or at least getting pictures of the birth. You'll love them later on.. trust me! =)

  2. No doubt Yes I would

  3. No, too personal of a thing. Its a natural experience.. but.. not something you would want to look back at and be like WOA, and they show thouse videos in s*x Ed. so..you dont need to do it for her! lol

  4. Lol, uhmmm i think your daughter would say no.

Im 14 and if my mom showed me that, id be scarred for life.

    Just dont do it.

  5. if i ever have a kid, i dont even wanna be in the d**n room with all that going on

  6. i wouldnt.  but i dont have kids, so idk.  i dont hink i would want my v****a on display like that

  7. lol ... why its not like you would show them when they are older unless you dont mind them seeing your private area . that would gross me out

  8. im with you. i never did it, and i regret not being able to re live those precious moments over again. especially when the children are driving me crazy! lol

  9. I would love to have it on film, for my eyes only, I would never show my hubby (who would have freaked out had he had to tape it) or even my child once they were old enough. No need to show them my hoo-hah. If you want to scare your girl into abstaining through birth films, just rent "The Miracle of Life." We watched that in Health class and it was super scary! :)

Anyway, I had a csection with my first, so I didn't get to see any of it, heck, I barely got to see him before they whisked him away. I'm not grossed out by blood, enjoy watching birth stories on TV, so I would be interested in seeing my child born first hand. My second was a VBAC. I watched her being born in a mirror and it was the most amazing experience. So, yeah, if I could push rewind and see it again, I think it would be just as amazing.

  10. ya, definitely

  11. I did tape it, and after i watched it i erased it.  Just in case the video got into the wrong hands lol. but now i wish i would have saved it..

  12. maybe not all the gross stuff just my wife and stuff like that

  13. There are some things I'm just NOT prepared to have on permanent record  and the nitty-gritty of childbirth and delivery is one of them.

I would tape a careful video of all parts of it, except the actual shots of emerging from my body. I think I can' get the point across to anyone without them seeing EVERYTHING!

This is all theoretical, since I am now past childbearing age. My spouse took pictures in delivery, but nothing beyond pg rating!

  14. I didn't.I had someone take some pictures of right before & right after, but nothing graphic.I also wouldn't have wanted everything on tape.I did have someone video the first bath & all that stuff too but never will tape the birth.

  15. I would have.

  16. Hahahaha. The horny horse.

But no, I don't think I would. I don't think it would be enjoyable for anyone to watch, and it would be really uncomfortable while it was being filmed.

  17. No... my child would probably die of embarrasment if I taped it and showed it to him.  Its a good idea however if you don't want her to get pregnant!  Didn't think of it that way. Something they do now is they have a mirror so that you can watch (whenever you are not squinty eyed from pushing) - which maybe I will try next time.

  18. NOOOOO EWWWW!

  19. YES

  20. Sure! I wanted to but I didn't. Just got some stills :o(

Why not just show her your stretch marks?! That'll put her off, at least for a little while! :o)

  21. Trust me, after you see live birth you don't need a video, it's burned into your brain until the day you die.

  22. Take it from someone who has had a front row seat to my two sons being born you do NOT ever want to watch it. Even after six years the image is still burned in my brain.

  23. I wish there had been a camera in the room with #1, but not on my ********.  I felt every bit of it and that was enough for me!  But I do wish I could listen to the conversations that were had... I bet it would be good for a chuckle or two.  I wasn't a nice person to the doctor or my nurses!

I remember everything with #2, it wasn't painful and it was very short- so it's in my mind pretty well... but a video of the goings on in the room would be nice :)

Awww...they edited the word V.A.J.A.Y.J.A.Y....what's up with that, Y!A?

  24. NO THAT IS SICKENING!

  25. Some people like to have it. Most of it is disgusting and it is nothing you want friends, daughters or sons to watch. Not even attractive for a husband......but it is your call

  26. i think i would because u only get one chance to tape it u have no cut r redo to do it over

  27. Yes, I would.

  28. No. I would not. I had a c-section. I did have pictures, though. Usually only one person other than the pregnant woman is allowed in the OR. Well, there were 2 in mine. My husband, myself & Kathleen who was training to be a nurse and offered to be in the delivery room with me. And we gladly accepted. She has 4 kids of her own & they went to the daycare I used to work at. Anyway, I had a c-section because she was breech and doc tried to turn her but she wouldn't budge. Kathleen got a bunch of cool pics, though. I was happy she did. We have one of my OB holding my daughter up and through his mask you could tell he was smiling. She was all mucusy & bloody & still attached. I will NEVER forget that picture. It's my favorite and was taken like a second after being born. Pics I don't mind. I don't need a video.

  29. I wouldn't film the actual birth. I would film afterwards when both of us are all cleaned up and relaxed--and when the mother first gets to see her baby. :)

  30. i guess so.....but wen u talk about using it against ur daughter idk....there r other ways to stop teens from doing that u know.......
