  1. yes i would testify- and well you may need to retain a body guard it will be more beneficial than an attorney heeheehee- there wont be a need to retain an attorney - the DPP would be the prosecuting attorney and someone from the department would go through your statement with you and guide you as to what sort of questions the defence attorney may ask you -strictly speaking they cant coach you but the State Attorney(prosecutor) will go through your statement with you- there isnt a need to retain an attorney.

and you can only sue the newspaper if there was a court order protecting your identity from the public because this may jeopardise the case and be a risk to your safety- but if the newspaper did release your identity then suing them wont really help you - depending on who the kidnappers were i'd think you'd have bigger problems to worry abt plus it wouldnt really achieve anything -

  3. yes u can

  4. yup

  5. Yes, a witness can get an attorney. Yes, ah go tesify tuh a kidnapping in Trinidad, but it hadda be someting ah know can change de entire case arong. It cyah juss be someting trivial. Ah know people go say ah brave and ah risking meh life, but if somebody did witness a kidnapping tuh somebody ah know ah go wann dem tuh come forward too. If de papers release meh name ah would be able tuh sue; nowadays everyting have a case. Even if de papers eh release meh name somehow somebody would find out it was meh who talk about wha ah witness; iz no hiding dem type of tings from anyone, people does always find out. Wha about yuh?
