Strickly speaking they are derived from oil..so if it,s land fill to me its ok as long as itis extrmeley deep like oil is. but i abhour at plastics  being thrown in our oceans.. that is if we actually talking about priority's what is good and what is bad all must be whieghied up not just get the book thown at..because its plastic .it might take 100 year,s to degrade down but hey think about the people in 100 years they got oil... after all plastic bags where created for a convience..and they are..what i deem as waste is companys making garbage bags.creatign more pollution when the humble palstic shopping bag provides the same service...at t he end of the day it all comes down to useing you brain...not being sheep...
