  1. Yes, and there has been torture used since before WW11,

Why should we go soft on terrorists, they sure wasn't soft on us Sept 11th.

Water boarding has been used not only with U.S. Military, but those we were fighting as well as other countries.

  2. No, at least not with painfull measures.

For one, he's a suspected terrorist. Nothing has been proven yet.

Two, i won't sink to their level.

Three: we can't just keep giving each other reasons to torture each other.

I'd use words. They are, in fact, the most powerful weapon.

  3. If I was 100% sure the suspect had info, yes I would.  If I was 99% or less sure, I would not.

  4. Since my loved ones claim I torture them with simple caring questions, I'd probably have him begging for mercy in less than 24 hours without a drop of water.

  5. No.  The key word there is SUSPECTED terrorist.  They haven't even had a fair trial yet.  I wouldn't want to be tortured because I was suspected of endangering people.  Half of Americans are almost certain anyone in a turban is a terrorist.  Also, it is against the Geneva Convention.  So I would want to obey the laws that are meant to stop people like him.  Not become someone like him.

  6. Why sure! And if wishes were horse beggars would ride. There's never been a case in history where torture saved lives, it's great for getting "confessions" but of zero value in getting reliable information. Torture is done for revenge, not to "save lives."

  7. NO.

Regardless of what they do WE have to draw the line somewhere.

  8. If you need info. in view to save lives there are other ways to obtain them. Physical torture is just for your nonsensical revenge. Take the psychical path - that's real torture.

    Or

what about the path of LOVE?

It gave me escape once, in an instant, from being smashed by a drunk man. After he had been smashed his fist into a wall trying to hit me, just ONE significant gesture from my heart was enough for the fog of his alcoholic fury to fall down !!! I've escaped without being even touched. (why should I must drink when I wasn't even able to taste the wine?) Duh. It wasn't enough I'd been treated him as you treat a seak person. He had other needs, I couldn't satisfy them.

Why are they doing their terrorist acts?

Knowing the real reason in its entire complex environment, you'll get the way to a solution.

Are they frighten of losing something; are they feeling themselves atacked; are they afraid cause religion, economical, political, teritorial reasons?

Coran sais about the same "Adam" who was made from the same earthy dust. Our ancient human history is the same. Read the Old Testament (Juish, Christian), the Coran, ..... all religions say the very first historical story the same way. WE ARE ALL brothers and sisters from the same parents. If your brother is mistaken would you kill him? would you torture him? would you FORCE him to believe, act, talk, live the way you do,

or would you let him choose for his life and respect him, as he's your brother? Americans are Arabian brothers, and Juish are our brothers, too. And Christians are all our brothers.

Adam & Eve were our parents.

Why do we kill each other?

There must be some persons with big psychical issues and/or "political" issues under the curtain of Religion.

They are killers, whatever their reasons.

    But WHAT ARE THEIR REASONS?

They did fail in some negotiations?

Any we do, we must see the complex reason which lead us to that action.

  9. Yeah I would-it's a terrorist we're talking about here! He tortures people for fun.

  10. No. I would not reduce Myself to their Level...

  11. yes i would as long as there is evidence the suspect has ties to the terrorist.

  12. In a heartbeat. Just give me a tractor battery, some jumper cables and a wet sponge and the sh*thead will be singing like Neil-freakin-Diamond.
