  1. Quinn might not take a snap. No way would I make this trade, unless DA got hurt bad.

  2. If i was the Gm i would not make this trade. Its crazy gore is to good of a player to trade for quinn. Yes quinn is a good qb i'm not saying he isn't but i wouldn't trade gore for him. But i do agree with you that the 49ers need a better qb.

    P.s.

    I'm a Niners fan too

    GO NINERS !!!!!!

  3. I think the Browns would have to add something on their side to get the Niners in on that trade.  The resulting void at RB for SF would be too big for them to take that deal straight up.  Have Cleveland throw in Jamaal Lewis.

  4. if was the 49ers GM, helll nooooo! frank gore is starting running back that could be the best in his conference, brady quinn is'nt even a starter yet and in todays world nfl means not for long so i would never do that

if i was the browns gm and if i was offered it, helll yess. it would be great to give away unused talent b/c of dereks andersons success plus having frank gore and jamal lewis with a o-line in a work of progress would be great plus lewis is a veteran and gore might pickup up some pointers, both are similar backs

  5. As GM for SF, I would trade Frank Gore for Brady Quinn and a 3rd Round draft pick.  Gore had a solid year a couple years ago, but didn't do much last year.  Who knows how he will perform this year.

  6. Alex Smith will do good this year under New Offense Coordinator Mike Martz

He made undrafted Kurt Warner into a stud, along with 6th Round Pick Marc Bulger. Not to mention helped Jon Kitna pass for over 4000 yards

imagine what he'll do with a former 1 round, not to mention 1st overall qb.

No I would not do this trade on either end.

Why would the niners trade frank gore, will on help Smith during what i believe based on what i just said a breakout season. And the Browns don't need Gore, they are fine with lewis and wouldn't trade quinn, he maybe the future.

  7. Yes, the 49ers do need a QB that is not named Alex Smith or JT Sullivan that will get the job done consistently. However, I'd hate to see Frank Gore go for an unproven QB that hasnt done well in a "big game". He is a big part of the offense and Im not sure its worth it.

  8. If I were the 49ers I would gladly accept this trade,Alex Smith seems to be a big qb bust and my patience with him is running on empty.Shaun Hill looks to be a decent qb but I need a Steve Young or Joe Montana even a Jeff Garcia will do.Quinn has shown good composure in the pocket in the two preseason games thus far and he's done better than all my qb's combined. If Im the browns however I wouldnt make this trade.Mayb for a Derek Anderson but not Quinn.I wouldnt trade my face of this franchise away.Plus i have jamal jewis who still consistant and im not worried. But if you want quinn offer me Gore plus a first round pick for the next 2 or 3 drafts and ill consider it.

  9. I am a 49ers fan and I took a lot of heat a couple of seasons ago for criticizing Alex Smith. I don't know if Brady Quinn is the answer, but I definitely feel Alex Smith is not. I just really hope Nolan gives in to the pain and accept that this season, and then start looking for a good QB to lead the team into the future. Anyway, if the niners do lousy this season Nolan will be gone, and Alex Smith shortly after that. If Nolan really wants to remain the niners coach, he needs to let go of Alex Smith.

  10. Assuming that Frank Gore has enough trade equity to have the same value has a starting QB why would the Browns make this trade?  They already have a running back.  Why wouldn't they hold out for additional players or picks?

Under the same assumption why would the 49ers trade a running back that has that much value (a starting QB is very, very valuable) for an untested, unproven, totally inexperienced QB that has so far been an under achiever?  Why trade a proven commodity for a gamble when  next year's incoming QB class is looking pretty good?

  11. no the browns wouldn't do that cause they already have a running back

  12. If I the GM of the Browns, I would take the deal in a heartbeat, because Gore is proven, and who know what will come of Quinn. If I was the Niner's GM, the thought of taking that deal wouldn't even cross my mind. First of all, it's not everyday you find a RB like Gore, second, Quinn has hardly played, I wouldn't take a chance of trading Gore for a possible bust.

  13. Brady Quinn really hasn't proven himself yet. He might be a great QB but Frank Gore has proven himself to be a top 5 QB. Sincerly, I would take Chris Simms (Tampa Bay Bucs) for some stupid 4/5/6th round pick in the draft. This guy has proven himself and won games before.
