  1. why would i trade my ps3 with a stand alone blu ray player? I mean PS3 fulfilled all my requirements. Can watch HD movies, can stream media from my PC and play on it, and play games. Only a fool will think about changing PS3 to stand alone blu ray player.

  2. I would not do that man.  The PS3 is a Blu Ray player.  There are stand alone Blu Ray players that are better but considering how much the PS3 does you would just be ripping yourself off.  If has a web browser.  Sony will be making it so you can download Tv shows and movies in hi def right to the harddrive.  Of course it is a blu ray player so you can buy movies for it.  Plus look into the games.  Currently good ones to get are

    -Grand Theft Auto IV

    -Call of Duty 4

    -Uncharted:Drake's Fortune

    -Resistance Fall of Man

    -MotorStorm

    -Ratchet and Clank

And look into ones coming out this year and next year.

    Metal Gear Solid 4

    Star Wars Force Unleashed

    SOCOM

    Resistance 2

    Motorstorm Pacific Rift

    Killzone 2

    Gran Turismo 5

    Final Fantasy XIII

    Final Fantasy Versus XIII

    God of War III

    Tekken 6

    Resident Evil 5

Really do yourself a favor and keep the Playstation 3.

  3. As everyone else said "No". The PS3 is a great console and a decent Blu-Ray Player. You can't beat price for that combo.

    Good luck

  4. $500.00 for a PS3, SURE, then I'd buy another one> They only cost $400.00!

  5. No I'd keep the ps3

  6. No, there are more things you could do with a PS3.

  7. this is a waste of your 10 pts. the ps3 plays blue ray and and a lot more. why the h**l would you trade it for a standalone blue ray player?
