i'm looking into booking an all inclusive trip to mexico. My daughter will be 19 months. I'm sure there is going to be a couple nights we will want to go out. It says baby sitting services are offered. Would you trust this or wait until shes older? Anyone ever use these services anywhere?

  1. I have used the kids clubs before and felt totally comfortable leaving my child there.  I checked it out first, stayed long enough for myself and my daughter to feel comfortable, then left her there for a short period of time.  The next time, I left her for longer.  All of the restaurants allow children.  Another option might be to just take her along with you.  You and your husband can still enjoy a nice dinner while your daughter sleeps right through it.

  2. I have never been to Cancun but have used hotel baby sitting services the world over.If you are staying at a large reputable hotel I am sure that it will be fine. When you are away it is important to get some time just for you and your husband

  3. it is perfectly safe to leave your daughter with the baby sitting service.  i have not personally used it, but my friend has used it on several occasions.  they generally get one of the girls that works in the activities to do it.  believe me.....they do not want anything to happen to your child while at their resort.  all the girls are well qualified and trained or the resort would not allow them to do it.  you could check with your resort for age though....they might have age restrictions.  if you feel more comfortable with your mother....bring her. the important thing is that you feel comfortable with whatever arrangements that you make.

  4. It depends on where you are staying.  I have stayed at several of the Palace Resorts (http://www.dreamcancunresorts.com  to find out more)

My granddaughter was 5 when we went the last time.  She is now 6.  We stayed at Playacar Palace Resorts in Play del Carmen where they had a kids club.  We also stayed at the Beach Palace and Moon Palace Resorts.  They all have kids clubs.  They are very safe. They have a specific check in procedure and they offer lots of activities.

Also, I did a google search for you for more opinions.  Here is the link to copy and paste:

Since your daughter is so young, you might want to get more details from the place you are staying.  If it is a five star resort, you can ask for details on what their procedures are in dealing with babies.  I know of several people who brought teenage girls that they knew along to be a nanny during the day (but they had free time as well).  In addition, I am a grandmother and have gladly accompanied my daughter on a trip whenever she needed me to help out.  Your mother can enjoy herself and at the same time provide some much needed relief to you and your husband for some alone time.
