In general food in China is extremely good and extremely cheap (50 cents to a dollar US for a full plate of food). It's pretty standard chinese food you can have in the US but 10 times better. Anyway, I stumbled upon a night market mostly opened by Uighurs (chinese people that are mixed with turkish) and they had a stand that served bug-ka-bobs ranging from silk worms, to grasshoppers, to beetles and the most crazy one 3 big black scorpions on a stick. I was too scared to try but all the young folk around me told me how good it was and one caucasian american kid took the courage and ate the 3 Scorpion-kabob. He said it wasn't that bad, crunchy and a little gooey. Would you ever try it if you were told it's safe?
