  1. Why use a wedding planner?............

    Its only another expense.

What can they do that you cannot do yourselves?

Get real ....... its your wedding.

    Sort it out yourself.

  2. No way.

These companies are, in my opinion, preying on people that are reluctant to make their own decisions for whatever reason.

OK if it is a big "celebrity" type wedding, as there is too much to organise, but a family & freinds do is easily put together yourself, and is part of the fun.

I  put my wedding together, with everthing working fine, except my father-in-law disapearing in the bridal car to the reception.

Oh well, a couple had arrived in best dress on horseback, so as we both ride, we borrowed them to go to the nearby village reception.

This produced brilliant photographs, so perhaps I should of planned that.

    (Or did I ?)  He He !

  3. good thinking. carry on. dear. no plan. just go & enjoy urself. or if u would like to spend time in home u can use this link.

  4. I dont really have any particular view on the matter, but just to  be fair to the wedding-planner business; Wedding planners DO get a lot of great discounts that the average bride planning her own wedding would not be able to get. They know who to call to get you EXACTLY what you want, if your dream local is " booked" for the date your looking to get, there is about a 90% chance the planner can get you in on that day. Wedding planners also know the in's and out's of the big-day, they know the best and most reliable vendors  and can often give you insight and idea's you'd never even think of .

But thats just to even the score board for the Pro-Wedding planner side.

  5. I run a wedding stationery business and the wedding planners I deal with take over the show to the extent that the bride makes virtually no decisions.

That's fine if you want someone to take over, but if you want to keep some of your ideas, then you need to shout out and be heard!

  6. i don't think anyone needs a wedding planner....

    take a pad and pen...

take time and look deep inside at what YOU want for YOUR wedding........ it makes it more special if YOU plan your own wedding...

it does not hurt get get ideas or suggestions.. but do it yourself..... you'll be glad you did... it is fun!!!!

  7. Only if he was Franc out of Father of the Bride!!

    LOL!!

  8. I didnt use a wedding planner for my wedding ,my mother in law and i planned the whole thing ,it was very fun and i enjoyed setting everything and deciding on everything myself ,and i saved myself a couple thousand dollars.

  9. No.  It's extra money out of your pocket.

  10. The first thing we did after the meeting at the Church with their planner was to fire her.we did the whole thing ourselves including setting up the food, all the tables and chairs. After, everyone from our Church said it was the best wedding they had ever seen there.
