This was inspired by a question I asked earlier in which I drew parallels between the current conflict in South Ossetia and the Spanish Civil War. Then I remembered something very unique about the Spanish Civil War.The Abraham Lincoln brigade was composed of Americans who volunteered to fight on behalf of Republican Spain during the 1930s.I'm wondering if anyone today would be willing to do the same, or do modern warfare and modern ideas prevent such an undertaking? This is more of a hypothetical/philosophical question.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abraham_Lincoln_Brigade
