Would you wake up a stranger in this situation?

Pretend you are at jury duty or somewhere else with a large group of strangers where names are called, but not that frequently. The person next to you fell asleep and you can tell because they are snoring, so they're not just relaxing with their eyes closed. Would you wake the person up? (so they don't miss their name, not because you are bothered by the snoring :P)

  8. Well, do you know that it is his name that is being called?  If so, yes..i'd wake him up.  If I didn't know his name, I wouldn't bother him.

  9. I guess this doesn't really answer your exact question, but I had jury duty once, and the man sitting next to me kept falling asleep and snoring.  Every time he did, I elbowed him. (to wake him up)

    (no wonder our juries come back with such unexplainable decisions some times)

  10. No, a lot of people are short tempered in court houses and you can end up getting hurt.

  11. you don't have to, its not your job to keep him awake, if they call and noboddy answers then the facilitators might then wake him up.
