  1. I always taught my kids to ignore the bullies...thus being the ones being bullied.   I told them if they ever started a fight, not even God could help them.   So one day my son was being bullied and the SOB punched him in the back....that was the breaking point for my son....he picked him up by the front of his shirt and slammed him into a brick wall!  The bully never went near him again.  Since this happened at school, obviously the Principal had to call me, but was quick to tell me that my son did NOT start the fight, but stood up for himself!

  2. being bullied ... at least then he/she is a good person. bullies suck!!

  3. I would choose being bullied. At least I know is a good person and not mean to other kids.

  4. I'd rather them be the one being bullied. A bully usually has a reason for being a bully that is ultimately worse than being bullied itself.

Most kids get over being bullied and go on to learn to be independent, thoughtful, decent citizens; most bullies are bullies for life.

EDIT: Okay, Karen C has a point. If my kid is the bully then I have some control over it. If it's the other kid that's the bully then there's only so much I can do. From that perspective I'd want my kid to the bully.

However, I'd still want my kid to be the one being bullied. Some bullies are just evil incarnate and I don't want that to be MY child.

  5. Neither.

  6. Neither I would rather that my kids were just the outsiders the one's that dont fit into that culture... I would like them to stick up for themsleves though and give bullies the sense that they can't mess with them...

  7. I would want mine to be the one being bullied, but he could turn it around and get the bullying to stop. Give them a taste of their own medicine. And bring it to their awareness that this is happening.

  8. Eurgh, neither i hope!

.. Hmm, but it i had to choose, probably to be bullied

It will make my kid stronger, and also a good person

Bullies are cowards that suck, BIG time.

Also, my kid won't be bullied for long cause i'd be there

aand he'd be a strong kid.

    :] x

  9. I would definitely rather have my kid be the bully. I would not want a kid who is the big p***y that is being bullied around. That would be embarrassing.

  10. Neither

  11. Bullied, it builds character, and I would rather they feel compassion toward other because they know what it feels like.

  12. I would rather my child be the bully. Its easier to change an agressive behavior than a victimized hurt.

  13. Both- I would rather my kid be the kid that was being bullied but then stuck up for themselves and kicked the bullies ***!

  14. All of you people saying "being bullied" have obviously never been bullied in your life.  I would definately say I'd want my kid to be "the Bully."  Bullies have good self esteem, in contrast to popular opinion.  This leads to them being at the top later in life.

  15. honestly neither they are both hard situations to deal with. but if I had to choose either one then I would say being bullied that way I know my kid isn't the problem bullies tend to have deeper emotional problems then a child who is being bullied.

  16. I would hope neither, but I'd say bullied b/c I have taught my kids to "be a duck"....let insult roll off your back like water off a duck.  Also, I'd like to think my kids are smart enough and tough enough to not let it get to them.

  17. Neither but it looks to be inevitable in this day and age.  I would prefer them to be the bully though.  That way, I can kick their *** in to shape when I find out about it.  If there is a kid bullying my kid, I can't whoop their ***, so the problem may not get resolved in a quick fashion.  I really wish that parents would take more initiative in disciplining their children when they discover these things taking place.
