No, I'd think that it was peculiar for a grown man to do that.  That would be fun if I were a child though.

No, I would look closely in his eyes and ask what new drugs the doctors have put him on this time.  My dad has and will never say that unless he is not in his right mind.  My dad only within the last few years has begun to let us hug him hello or goodbye when we come to visit.  He's not highly demonstrative with his feelings (unless it's anger, then he is).

No.  Not with my Dad.  Instead, I'd get him in the car and take him to the hospital for fear he was having a stroke or suffering from some form of dementia.  NOT something my Dad would say if he were in his right mind.  Thankfully so too, because at my age, for him to say that would just be weird.
