  1. Not if my life depended on it.

  2. don't ask. don't tell.

  3. first, to get to the good part you've got to read this entire answer.

if you're thinking of the c.i.a. as spys like james bond or michael weston in "burn notice"...it's just not that way. at least, not anymore. most jobs at c.i.a. are boring desk jobs and i wouldn't have any part of that c.i.a.

there is another section to the c.i.a. most people don't know about. it's the clandestine para-military section. basically, these are the guys who to afghan., iraq, or anyother hostile country and work with the military. so, if you want to serve your country, blow things up, drive cars very recklessly, shoot at  things...basically do everything your mother won't let you...here's your job, c.i.a. para-military section. i'm not joking...it really exists. c.i.a. just doesn't talk about it. this job i would take in a new york second.  good luck.

  4. Definately, thats what im takin now in college

  5. I wouldn't work there because I'm a worker and the CIA serves the interests of the higher classes, not mine.

  6. I wouldn't.... I've never aspired to be a spy... but you should follow your own path, if that kind of job is attracting you, it may mean that it suits you and you could be terrific at it.  So, never mind us, just follow your bliss.  You can always leave the job if it isn't what you expected it would be and try something else.  You're young and have plenty of time to try things out; don't be afraid to go for it.

  7. yes u know why C.I.A stand for the right think & help pepole .

  8. It would be an interesting job - however I am not willing to put up with the weather back east.

  9. No! The CIA is not a good organization as before!

Now a days any fool or weirdo can joint them.

But this is a good position:

Foreign Media Analyst for Yahoo in San Jose , California:

Open Source Officers (OSOs) are the Intelligence Community's foreign media experts. They use foreign language and area knowledge to review and assess foreign open media sources, including Internet sites, newspapers, press agencies, television, radio and specialized publications, collecting intelligence from these media to deliver high-impact products to the US foreign affairs community. OSOs develop and apply in-depth knowledge of a broad range of foreign media to identify trends and patterns, and to write analytical products. They may also translate text, audio and video information and select materials from the media for translation by independent contract translators. OSOs research and analyze the media environment in a particular country or region and prepare media analyses that inform customers of subtle relationships and trends in the media.

  10. No, I rather get a job in Counter Intelligence, like my homeboy Jesus James Angleton did.

Mexican American,  James Jesus Angleton was born In 1917. His mother was a Catholic Mexican citizen renowned in Mexico's high society for her beauty. He went on to attend Harvard Law School before joining the United States Army in 1943 and was recruited into the OSS later that year.

He was selected for "counter-intelligence" training in London, where he was brought under the tutelage of British intelligence agents such as Kim Philby (Philby was already a mole for the KGB). He is thought to have been one of the few to have access to the Ultra program, the decryption operation which successfully cracked iterations of the Enigma code, effectively neutralizing the German U-boat campaign in the Atlantic Ocean. He subsequently served as a counter-intelligence agent in Italy, where he remained in service after the transfer of OSS operational functions to the War Department's Strategic Services Unit, which became part of the Central Intelligence Agency under the National Security Act of 1947.

Many undocumented Mexican immigrants view the U.S. labor market as an extension of Mexico's.

Angleton's war experience in counterintelligence operations had affected him to the extent that he became absorbed into the "hall of mirrors" world of intelligence and refused to leave the service, despite much insistence and disappointment from his father. James would pour over the many CI files he had amassed while in Italy and was forever changed by the intrigue and the possibilities of a career in the CIG.

On December 30, 1947, he was hired by the CIA as a senior aide to the Director of the Office of Special Operations (OSO).  It was during this period that Army G-2 and other intelligence agencies were trying to crack the Soviet Venona code, used by espionage agents operating in the United States to send back sensitive information regarding the Manhattan Project based at Los Alamos, New Mexico.

It is possible that Angleton was on special assignment prior to officially reporting to the OSO which had the responsibility of running counterespionage operations.

  11. No,  I surely would not.

The CIA spies on ordinary US citizens, especially from any minority groups, even if they are peaceful & apolitical.

In 1976, a CIA operative, Robert "Butch" Merritt, admitted to spying on g*y people to the congressional investigative subcommittee on intelligence.

He has recently publicly denounced all that he did during that time in a Washington, D.C. newspaper. See the links below.

  12. A job is a job. A lot depends on your position. If you work for the CIA as a receptionist, your job would likely be just as boring as any other receptionist position. If your job is as a field agent, it is likely to be exciting and varied.

Since you are in 10th grade you might not realize that they generally look for people with prior military or police experience to be field agents. If you plan to go to the CIA fresh out of college you better go to a really good school where you get stellar grades in something like linguistics (and learn many languages), chemistry, physics, or some other science. Otherwise your chances of getting in will be slim.
