Didn't go to public school.  Neither will my children, if it requires working 80 hrs/week.

Public education is a MESS in this country.  As long as the Teachers' unions call the shots, it will only get worse.

Do you ever hear the stories of people who graduated from public high schools unable to read.  In my school, you couldn't graduate from kindergarten if you couldn't read.

Most have to reluctantly but some scrimp and save to conserve their childs mind and integrity and do send them to catholic or private school! The price of a sound, uncorrupted, and free mind is worth the money people so learn it now! Public schools are the breeding grounds for corruption and dependence on no values system! I work extra to conserve my childs mind!

No, not at all.  If i ever have kids I would have them home schooled.  My public education completely ruined my desire to learn at the time.  That's 12 years pretty well wasted, I would rather have my kids learn on their own than go through what I went through.

No, I will homeschool my children and supplement their education with a learning center like Sylvan, Kumon, eScore or LearningRx. I was mostly bored in high school. When I look back on my education, I realize I wasn't taught much. The teachers' unions have a stranglehold on the pubic schools and want to dumb us down because they're in bed with the Democrat Party. There are many books on how bad public education is. John McCain is for school choice. Hopefully public schools will improve through competition.

I JUST graduated from thirteen years of public school in Tucson, AZ, and if I've learned one thing, it's this: HOMESCHOOL YOUR CHILDREN.

Parents don't realize all the leftist indoctrinization that is going on in school.  Besides that, ridiculously-low standards have turned students AND teachers into unmotivated and hopeless idiots who are basically HANDING our superpower status over to China.  Plus, in spite of all the liberal dementia being taught, mention of religion or God is punishable by death.  Public school is horrible.  And we wonder why our country is going down the drain?  HOMESCHOOL.
