  1. If you're having doubts then I'd say no.  If you think scene hair is supposed to be colorful you're very wrong.  That screams poser.  Dye it black or really light blonde, nothing in between. And yeah, my parents let me dye my hair every month.

  2. Don't do it at 13. Maybe in a  year or so, just my opinion.

or maybe not so many colors. You could possibly go

with black hair and one of those colors for a few small

streaks in your hair. People I know have that. The full

out scene thing is more for people that are in control

fully of their lives, and not having to ask their parents.

You don't really see many people walking around with

    crazy colors and scene haircuts.

Just in my opinion, stick with simple colors, or if you want a

lot of color get clip in colored extensions, you can cut them but no heat styling. (I have bright blue ones)

  3. Bloody h**l, my parents would never ever let me

dye my hair ever. However, i did once, in 8th grade

i dyed the tips of my hair purple [and it wasn't even

permanent, only suppose to last 2 weeks] My mom

made me wear my hair in a bun so no one could

see the color. She flipped out. I can't even imagine

what she would have done if it was permanent.

My advice to you; Experiment with something that

    is not permanent first.

  4. you definently wouldn't do it if i were you. in my opinion when people put color in their hair that is unnatural it just looks tacky.

  5. h**l no!! my mom would let me wear booty shorts n a bra to the mall before i do ll that ish to my hair!

*not like id want to wear that to the mall*

    im 13 too

  6. If i liked it they would let me.

they think, or its in style now?

    okay you can do it.

    its a good choice

    dont worry

    imma do in high school

    [in 8th]

cuz we cant have colored hair

but my hair is cut scene already...

    so yeahhh.

  7. I would not do it! Personally I think dying your hair is weird, you should be proud of your natural color not cover it up

  8. No, don't do it.  Whether you like it or not, you are judged by your outward appearance.  Not by the fact that you're "scene" or "preppy", but if you're clean and respectable looking.  You'll never get a babysitting job, if you have green hair, you know.  And you'll probably get treated differently by teachers.  You're getting older, and you want to start making a good impressions on people, because- who knows?- you could end up working for people you know now in a few years, and they probably won't want to hire the girl who has (or used to have) purple hair as an intern at a bank or law office... As a burger flipper at McDonald's maybe.

  9. Since it's the summer I guess I'd let my kids do whatever they wanted with their hair.  Our local schools have a rule about things like that, though, and they would not be permitted to have those kinds of hair-do's at school.

  10. My kids are 6 and 4, so I'm not at the stage where my kids want to do things to their hair like that.. but I'm going to have to say I wouldn't let that happen.

I think you should keep to one color, two at most. You should always be able to be presentable in case you attend a wedding or formal event. Also, as a teen, you may be at a stage where you want to be taken more seriously as a young adult - and colorful hair won't really help your case.

  11. I was actually not allowed to dye my hair till I was 15 :/

  12. yea do it,it will be fun especially if you live in my town I will die laughing after your mom gets you real good.it summer why walk around looking like Halloween.

  13. No, I would not let my kid do this.  I would probably let him or her go for a funky cut and maybe some high lights but that is it.  You are setting yourself up to become an outcast in school and will never be taken seriously in any extracurricular things that may help you to gain college entrance.  Also, you willbe

very limited in where you can get a job.

I know that at your age you are trying to find yourself but you are putting yourself at a disadvantage if you want to begin a successful life.

  14. your thirteen.  you might as well get it out of your system now before you start having to look respectable for jobs and things

  15. Pick one of those colors.  I <3 blue.

Now, I'm all for freedom of expression, but at your age, the people around you will lose respect for you AND your mom if you go TOO far all-out with this.  Also, if you start with one color, she's more likely to think about it.  All of that, she'd probably just say 'no' outright.  For one thing, it's expensive, and for another thing, it's much easier to correct and maintain if it goes wrong if there's just one color.

  16. I'm 13 and I don't think I'd want my hair dyed... get highlights. (Imma guy fyi)

  17. Yes, I would let my kids do this (if I were a parent). After all, I dyed my hair black with red streaks as a kid and nothing bad came of it. It grew out, I got it cut, and that was that. I knew a girl in HS who had her hair a different color every week of the year, and the last week came in with a stripe of each color she had used (there were 8 or 12 I think, she went in cycles). As far as I know she worked a job the whole time - assistant manager of a comic-book shop, iirc.

Personally, I wouldn't. It takes a LOT of confidence to do something that unusual. You WILL get harassed for it. By students who don't like your style. By school staffers who think your hair is theirs to dictate (even though it's Constitutionally illegal for them to stifle your self-expression). By your family if they want you to look like you're 40 and professional while still treating you like you're in diapers. An unusual appearance suggests an unusual world-view. You'd better HAVE an unusual world-view if you're going to go for it.

  18. nope not at all ever i will wait till they both get 18 in then let them do what ever it is they want to when they both move out of my house they will never ever embarress me ever were i live are around people that are my friends then them to can make jerks out of them self when they are there own adults you choose on what you want to do with your hair then pay the price of getting your butt tore up with the belt n grow up

  19. Well, one my mom would have let me.

If you definantly want to do it do it now, while your not looking for jobs. If you don't want a job babysitting or anythink then go for it. But if you are looking for a job it will be hard to get one.

  20. My mom would have probably let me do that, although I would have never wanted to. I suppose there's worse things you could be doing, but it doesn't sound very attractive.

  21. if you have doubts, dye your hair with temporary hair color. that way if you don't like it, it comes out in a few weeks. and my mom lets my dye my hair. im the same age as you. my moms kinda cool though, with everything shes just like, whatever.  and for the people on here freakin out over a teenager dyeing their hair, its hair dye, not plastic surgery!

  22. go for it! You only live once...and its hair...it grows back. Some day you'll have a job and you wont be able to do those things anymore. Make the most of it while you can.

  23. It's your hair and it's not like it is going to last forever. Experiment, try out different hair styles and figure out which one is right for you. I say you go for it, it won't last forever if you don't like it and it's just hair.

  24. you're supposed to be a young woman and respectable, not a little kid fingerpainting her hair.

  25. Yo dude you are 13 chill you have aton of time to be wild and crazzy i think you should keep your hair 1 color not 4..................and if you do decide to dye it find a friend that will dye their hair with you cuz dude your gonna look goofy

  26. If your parents let you, you should.I would never do that to my hair though, so I say NO.Anyways  the consequences are also killing your hairs naturality

  27. i personally think it sounds cool...it sounds like a good way to express yourself...my mum would NEVER let me do it and shes a hair dresser..she wont eve let me put bright red in my hair...i dont see why u shouldnt you could always dye it something if u dont like it

  28. there is no way any normal parent would let their 13 year old do that to their hair.

  29. no, and i wouldn't do it myself either. I think it's too wild, especially for your age.

  30. If you are having doubts then I would say no. As a mom, I'd have to think about it. That seems like an awful lot of color. I think I would suggest starting out with maybe one color. Also, some schools don't allow it, so make sure it's acceptable in your district.

  31. well it'll affect the way people percieve you. and if you're having 2nd thoughts don't do it. you'll end up regretting it. why not just dye the tips a cool color? that would be a little less drastic.
