make a soccer shoe. I mean, please, they've got everything else. why hold out on soccer?

I guarantee they will be making soccer apparel within the next 2 years.  They just have not got around to finding a sponsor such as the MLS yet. In due time.

Because no one has offered them a prominent sponsorship deal.  They started with the gridiron football cleat because they wanted to get some promotion from the NFL, but NFL and Reebok already had an agreement for moisture-wicking underclothes.  So they said, alright, what if we do cleats instead?  So now the brand is on gridiron football shoes.

If there's something they don't have a promotional deal with, and making an association football shoe would help them get a deal, they'll do it.  Otherwise...  they won't.

Besides, why do you care?  There are plenty of other cleats from other companies available for you.  Or are you that much a slave to a single brand that you break out in hives if you wear anything else?
