through tax breaks for using public transit and riding a bike or other altenative, instead of cutting the gas tax which will only increase demand. Why not let car owners a deduct some of the cost if they buy a bus pass?

  1. I've heard somewhere that refineries already are loosing incentive to make gasoline because there's less demand for it. Because of this supplies are getting tighter driving up the price even more. Until the price of crude oil  goes back down don't look for any relief.

I think we should put more resources into ethanol. When the world starts complaining about the high price of grain because the USA isn't giving it away any more, let them put pressure on OPEC to increase production and bring the prices back down.

Despite what the liberal elite and Bush bashers say its the price of crude oil and threats of OPEC nations cutting back production which is forcing the gas prices higher and higher.

  2. Agree - here I my three ideas

    - Lower maximum speed limits on Interstate and US highways back to 60 MPH.

    - Force higher fueld standards on the auto industry

    - Develop smarter street lights so 20 cars aren't idling to an empty street

  3. now every on has thoughs choces

  4. Thats it!

The only way to bring down the price of oil is to stop using it. Or at least cut waaaaaaay back.

Oil companies have little if nothing to do with the price.

Oil is global. So many countries produce oil nowdays. It is traded on the global market based on supply vs demand.

We need to find a way to do without oil.

  5. not everyone has these opportunities
